Description
“When you want to put down or undermine a woman, accusing her of being slutty works every time.” (Leora Tanenbaum)
Workplace sexual harassment as any type of harassment, is a form of counter-productive work behaviour. Most of the researchers of workplace sexual harassment define it as a mean for sexual dominance of the stronger gender over the weakier one.
In our audio course we follow another definition – that the most important purpose of this type of counter-productive work behaviour in contemporary society is to diminish the professional importance of the successful women. From this point of view, workplace sexual harassment is not so much sexual phenomena, but rather professional power phenomena. By womanizing his female colleague, the macho boss or coworker puts her into the funnel of basic gender differences and erases totally her professional personality.
In the context of Insourcing of Services in Business Organizations In Post-COVID-19 Times, the sexual harassment free work place is everyday responsibility of managers, especially of this part of them, who have direct contact with the lowest levels of the organizational chain of command. Sexual harassment can become a source of risk for the organization itself and for its entire image in the local community and even globally.
